More information about the Rx Abuse Leadership Initiative of Ohio can be viewed here: blog, on Facebook, and on Twitter.

For the Rx Abuse Leadership Initiative of Ohio, Lesic & Camper and colleagues planned a forum with state legislators and statewide veterans’ organizations in November 2019. This event focused on the particular needs of veterans who are struggling with substance misuse.   Participants included  Representative Rick Perales, Chair, Legislative Veterans Caucus; Senator Frank Hoagland; Senator Bob Peterson, Rep. Ericka Crawley, Don McCauley, Executive Director, AMVETS Department of Ohio; Jermaine Ferguson, American Legion Department of Ohio; Larry Moore, Legislative Director, VFW Department of Ohio; Doug Spain, Civil Operations Manager, Ohio National Guard CounterDrug Task Force; and Sean McCarthy, Deputy Director, Ohio Department of Veterans Services. Chairman and CEO Arthur T. Dean, of the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) served as the keynote speaker.

In 2020, RALI Ohio looks forward to continuing to support with veterans’ organizations and our partners who are working hard to reduce addiction and educate their communities about substance misuse and the safe disposal of unwanted prescription medicines.

The Rx Abuse Leadership Initiative (RALI) of Ohio supports programs that prevent the misuse of prescription medicines so that more lives can be saved from the opioid crisis. RALI Ohio does this by bringing together community leaders and elected officials who are committed to finding effective solutions and sharing ideas that will make a difference across our state.
