Steve Luttner is a Vice President at Lesic & Camper Communications who specializes in writing, research and media relations. His writing skills were well-honed while working for 30 years as a reporter, columnist and editor at daily newspapers in Ohio.
Since 2006 he has worked at Lesic & Camper’s Cleveland office, where he has served a diverse array of clients. He writes swiftly, clearly and concisely, drafting everything from tweets to speeches. Luttner is adept at quickly distilling complex issues and then writing about them in tight and accurate form. He is adept at drafting talking points and preparing clients for Q&A and media interviews.
Luttner spent 23 years at The Plain Dealer, where he served as the newspaper’s politics writer. He covered national political conventions and dozens of local, state and federal political campaigns and elections – including the classic 1989 Cleveland mayor’s race.
Prior to working at The Plain Dealer, Luttner was a reporter at the Columbus Citizen-Journal, where he covered Columbus City Hall. He started his newspaper career at The Tribune Chronicle in Warren, Ohio, where he was an assistant city editor and reporter.
A history buff, Luttner enjoys visiting Civil War battlefields. He also likes to hike in the woods with his wife, who regularly beats him at Scrabble.
